EERA Membership 2008
As EERA, the European Educational Research Association, is an association of national educational research associations, only national associations can become a member of EERA and, as a result of that, EERA is carried by representatives of national associations. The advantages of EERA are restricted to these national associations and their members. Therefore, if you are member of a national association which is a member of EERA, you can claim the reduced fee for EERA?s annual conference, ECER (European Conference on Educational Research) and a reduced fee for the EERJ, the European Educational Research Journal, the quarterly scientific journal of EERA.

National associations which are members of EERA are:
Austria (ÖFEB), Belgium Flanders (VFO), Belgium Walloon (ABCE), Czech Republic (CAPV), Denmark/Sweden/Norway/Iceland (NERA), Estonia (EAER), Finland (FERA), France (AECSE), Germany (DGfE), Italy (IERA), Ireland (ESAI), Lithuania (LERA), Netherlands (VOR), Portugal (SPCE), Slovakia (SERS), Spain (AIDIPE) and Spain (SEP), Switzerland (SSRE), United Kingdom (BERA) and United Kingdom (SERA).

In order to support the start of a new national association, EERA has the opportunity to have a so-called accession membership for a limited period of 2 years at the maximum without fees.

Moreover, there is an opportunity of becoming a sponsor of EERA. Sponsorships with a minimum of  300 Euro per year will be mentioned in our programmes and on the website. Sponsorship is not a basis for claiming reduced fees for the annual conference or any other activities organised by or on behalf of EERA.

The annual membership fee (see table below) of each national association is calculated according to the size of the national association (< 200 members or ≥ 200 members), the GDP of the country, and the method of payment. Low GDP countries are Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Bulgaria, Malta, Cyprus, South America, Africa and Asia. All other countries are high GDP!

Payment can also be made by credit card or by cheque, but because of bank handling costs  30 EURO have to be added in case of payment by credit card or cheque.
